Assessment & Suitability
SkudoBoard should not be used on unprepared, uneven ground.
SkudoBoard should not be used on freshly placed concrete unless that concrete will be later covered with another finishing product, such as tile, carpet, LVT, etc. Using SkudoBoard on uncured concrete can lead to curing lines where the boards are joined.
How to Apply

Before installing any surface protection system, make sure that the surface to be protected is dust and debris free.
Installing SkudoBoard is a simple and quick process. Like any other floor covering installation, it is best practice to take some time before installation to figure out the most efficient layout, minimizing small cut infills. SkudoBoard 4x8 can be installed stack bond or running bond (offset). Skudo recommends leaving an expansion gap of 1/16th “as boards can expand in extremely hot conditions. Tape the seams using a minimum 3” wide trafficable tape suitable for external and internal use; Skudo recommends using our Premium Seam Tape and Walk Behind Tape Dispenser for best results.
SkudoBoard Interlock
Prepare the surface as above. SkudoBoard interlock is locked into place by pressing down the interlocking tabs, which will stay in place without tape when exposed to foot and small cart traffic. Taping the tabs will offer better stability where heavier traffic is expected.

Unlike most other alternatives, SkudoBoard is lightweight, slip resistant, fire retardant and water resistant. SkudoBoard resists curling and warping, further reducing safety hazards on the job site. SkudoBoard is easy to cut with a box knife, and in most cases due to ease of cleaning can be reused.
Simply place and secure using 3-inch trafficable tape suitable for both exterior and interior use. We recommend using Skudo's Premium Seam Tape for the best results, along with our Walk Behind Tape Dispenser. Installing 8′ x 4′ sheets offset (brick bond) can improve the stability, particularly where forklifts and other machinery are regularly used.
SkudoBoard Interlock (45” x 45”) has interlocking tabs that hold the board securely in place minimizing the need for taping. SkudoBoard Interlock (45”x45”) is quick and easy to handle in tight situations like narrow corridors.
For installing SkudoBoard, Skudo recommends using our Premium Seam Tape, or a minimum 3" wide tape that can be used in both interior and exterior environments.
