Dear Skudo Customers, Partners, and Friends:
The events of 2020 certainly changed the landscape in terms of how business is done in the construction industry, the effects of which have lingered well into 2021. Slowly, we are starting to see a return to in-person events as lockdowns, travel and capacity restrictions have been lifted in many regions.
In March, it was announced that the World of Concrete expo will proceed as the first major convention in Las Vegas since March 2020. The show is now confirmed to take place on June 8-10, 2021 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Since 2011, World of Concrete is Skudo’s biggest annual event. We always look forward meeting many of you face-to-face and demonstrating our latest innovative solutions for surface protection challenges faced by contractors on the job. The previous event in February 2020 was our most successful ever. As well as interacting with our existing customers Skudo welcomed a record-breaking number of new visitors from the USA and abroad. We also officially launched Skudo Column Guard.
After much deliberation, Skudo has decided to go ahead and participate in the 2021 event. However, it will be a bit different this year. Attendance is expected to be considerably less than normal given the ongoing pandemic and summer being peak construction season. Skudo will have a booth in the North Hall, but it will be smaller than our typical size, with a reduced number of staff and materials on hand. We are also proud to sponsor the Concrete Polishing Luncheon & Forum on June 8th in the North Hall at 11:30 AM.
If you are planning to attend World of Concrete 2021 in June, be aware that the event organizer has put safety protocols in place to ensure the wellbeing of attendees and exhibitors. With all that said, we are already planning on making a big return for the 2022 event, which we expect will be the best yet! So if we don’t see you in June, make sure you join us in 2022!
